Curved chest of drawers

The resident of an old house in Brussels asked me to build a curved piece of furniture for her living room. The room already contained several old, attractive pieces. I decided to make this curved chest, believing that it would hold its own among these other furnishings. At the same time, I wanted the chest to look playful, with soft curves that invite human touch. The oak of the chest has little knots and a beautiful grain. The drawers extend completely through a system of double wooden slides.
