Bed in olive ash

Someone asked me to make a simple bed, on slender legs, without any metal hardware and with a lightweight headboard.

I made a bed that can be completely disassembled. The side rails and legs are joined with sliding dovetails. At the head of the bed, the legs grow out of the side rails and form the headboard rails and supports.

Olive-ashwood comes from old ash trees. The heart wood is darker and is referred to as olivewood. The sap wood is light. The contrast is decorative.
